The basics
The official Directorate General of Immigration page lists E33G as a visa for remote workers (Pekerja Jarak Jauh). It is described as a Limited Stay Visa that allows entry and exit within a set period. The resulting stay permit can generally be extended and can be converted to another type of stay permit.
- Validity
- The visa is valid for 90 days from issuance. If unused after that, a new visa must be applied for. Validity differs from length of stay.
- Permitted stay
- 1 year, according to the official page. The stay permit can be extended online.
- Where you apply
- Online at evisa.imigrasi.go.id, after creating an account
- Fee
- Rp 7,000,000 for a 1 year stay, according to the official page. Other listed fees are in the how-to-apply section.
Who it's for
The official page says the visa allows you to stay in Indonesia to carry out work assigned by a company based abroad. It also states that holders can do tourism-related activities and visit friends or family. Rules may vary by nationality, so check the official page and the nearest Indonesian mission for your situation.

While the Re-entry Permit is valid, holders may enter and leave Indonesia.
The page warns against overstaying, working in a way that does not match the stay permit, and selling goods or services unless required for the holder's job. It does not state extension fees, the number of extensions allowed or the length of an extension.
